River Song

That episode where River says that when the Doctor forgets who she is it will destroy her, that made me so mad. And their flirting was way over the top. Does the doctor have sex? If he doesn't, why do they joke about it so much? Is it because she's compleletly, depressingly in love with him to the point that when he forgets who she is shes just going to roll over and die? ARRGH!
I thought she was supposed to be a strong sassy character! She just comes off as codependent and in love with an (unrealistic) ideal who could never love her back.
